Present is a Divine of the Divine Principality. Its Elect is Gallica, and it is aligned with the Pact of Necessary Venture.

It has the ability to blink from one location to another, traveling across huge distances in an instant. A journey which would take even the most well-appointed ship of the Principality’s vast fleets a year takes Present only a second. In a world so fractured and large, where distance is felt materially, presence becomes a miracle.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Present is capable of transforming between multiple forms. In one form, it is a small, if luxurious, frigate: oval in shape, housing living quarters, a humble armory, enough cargo space to hold a single hollow, and even a fully stocked bar. With a snap of its elect’s fingers, however, it transforms into a humanoid war machine that serves its elect loyally, outclasses any single Hollow or Hallow in operation, and is capable of holding its own against many other Divines in combat.

History and Involvement[edit | edit source]

When Véronique and Fealty defect from the Curtain, Present and Gallica attempt, though ultimately fail, to recruit them.[1] Several years later, Present's frigate form serves as the setting for a fateful meeting between Kalvin Brnine and Dahlia.[2]

When Coriolis Sunset and Elle Evensong decide to leave the Twilight Mirage during the PALISADE finale, Gallica is forced, by a contract she at some point signed with Arbitrage, to transport them out of the Mirage on Present. During transport, Cori shoots and kills Gallica. Present, having just lost its Elect, does its best to space Cori and Elle or kill them by some other means, but it is unsuccessful.[3] By the end of the Questlandia game, Present is doggedly hunting Cori down in revenge for killing Gallica.[3] At first it is said to have a new Elect at this time,[4] but Austin later states that it has not taken a new Elect by the time of its appearance in the finale.[5]
