The Shale Belt is a scrub land with several high plateaus located on the planet Palisade. It is east of the Bontive Valley and just south of Sinder Karst.
It is home to many Concretists, who are descended from the same roots as the Concrete Town Particulars, and must be close to their special concrete solution to breathe. The large number of Concretists has resulted in their concrete being used in many structures and roads, as well as in many outlying settlements, to accommodate their needs.
Braunton is one town in the Shale Belt. Beneath Braunton is an ancient underground city populated by minions of Ravel.[1]
