Mirage bombs are explosives created by the Divine Devotion. Large and polyhedral in shape, rather like an underwater mine, they contain synthetic Mirage and, when detonated, have the effect of expanding the Twilight Mirage.
When Mirage bombs detonate, the visual effect is of big, bright, colourful explosions of light against the black of space. These splashes of colour, which are the size of planets, then expand to connect to one another and to the Mirage.[1]

In a plot meant to strike back against the encroaching Divine Principality,[1] 3T sources Mirage bombs from the Orchard Syndicate[2] and creates a minefield around the Brink. With Saint Decario Dicario's agreement, 3T detonates the bombs during a concert, bringing the Mirage closer to Palisade and therefore closer to Principality space.[1]

Contrary to the Qui Err Coalition's explicit orders, Devotion continues to plant Mirage bombs throughout the Palisade system. They are unintentionally triggered by a cataclysmic surge of the Perennial Wave, expanding the Mirage further to encompass the entire Palisade system.[3]
