Continental Countinghouse is a member of Stel Orion and the host of CENTRE/line and Five Stels, Five Questions.
Personality[edit | edit source]
He's a smug, opportunistic centrist who specializes in "playful monologues, managing social equilibrium, and ad reads."[1]
History and Involvement[edit | edit source]
We first meet Continental as the host of the in-universe podcast CENTRE/line, for which he received special dispensation from Rye to discuss Millennium Break. Despite trying to keep panel members on task and avoid controversial statements, he ends up audibly arguing with Galaebalus and admitting that he doesn't like the war any more than they do. This "disastrous" episode winds up being the last episode of CENTRE/line.[2]
Following the podcast's cancellation, Continental pivots to video as the host of Five Stels, Five Questions, the Divine Principality's most popular interview show. He interviews Kalvin Brnine for an episode of Five Stels, Five Questions while they are held prisoner by the Pact aboard the Stolen Cameo; Brnine is extorted by Pact members into complying with the interview, implying an affiliation between Continental and the Pact.
At the beginning of the Brnine episode, Continental links them with their former identity as Kal'mera Broun, effectively outing them to the entire Principality (and to everyone on Palisade). During the interview he paints Brnine as an unprincipled terrorist and traitor to their Stel of origin, but as soon as the cameras are off he compliments them and starts to give them unsolicited advice on how they can use their fame to make money.[3]
