PARTIZAN is the sixth season of Friends at the Table and the third season of the Divine Cycle. It is set in the Divine Principality, a galaxy-spanning empire made up of five sub-cultures called Stels: Stel Kesh, Nideo, Orion, Columnar, and Apostolos. The main action takes place on the moon Partizan, originally focusing on two parties: the Society of Banners and Bright Returns and the Rapid Evening.

Continuity[edit | edit source]

PARTIZAN takes place some five thousand years after the events of Twilight Mirage and about fifty thousand after COUNTER/Weight. While references are made to those preceding seasons, PARTIZAN stands alone from them; they can be enjoyed in any order. The main body of PARTIZAN is also preceded by the mini-season Road to PARTIZAN, a series of one-shot or two-shot games in different systems which established aspects of worldbuilding. Listening to Road to PARTIZAN is not necessary in order to understand the events of PARTIZAN.

PARTIZAN is followed by its direct sequel season, PALISADE. The five years between PARTIZAN and PALISADE are fleshed out by the mini-season Road to PALISADE.

Plot[edit | edit source]

PARTIZAN has two plot summaries available:

  • An episode-by-episode summary, which summarizes every individual episode of the season
  • A faction level summary, which is a high level summary of factional moves and changes

Episodes[edit | edit source]

Cast[edit | edit source]

Games[edit | edit source]

For most of the season, the Friends play Beam Saber by Austin Ramsay. The Millennium Break arc is played with Kingdom, the Witch in Glass arc is played in part with The Tower, and in the finale the Friends play War in the Year 1424 of the Perfect Millennium, Austin's hack of War in the Year 3000.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Touchstones for PARTIZAN include Battletech and hard sci-fi of the 1960s and 70s.[1]
