Joyous Guard is a fort and the town built up around it, located in a desert on the periphery of the lands controlled by the Fabreal Duchy on Palisade. It's named after the castle of Arthurian legend, Joyous Gard. Duke Perpetual Lustre fled here after being ousted by lesser nobles allying with the Curtain.
It is currently under the control of August Righteousness's Delegate resistance movement, Reunion.
The town is subject to seasonal animal migrations which can lead to stampedes if not diverted.
