The Devotees are followers of the Cult of Devotion,[Note 1] a cult centred around the Divine Devotion that has infiltrated the Brink, the Twilight Mirage and Palisade. On the Brink, the Orchard Syndicate operates as a front for them, and on Palisade they work closely with the Dim Liturgy as members of Violet Cove on the Isle of the Broken Key.
The Devotees' modus operandi is to lure people to meetings through social manipulation, after which the people disappear for a time on 'bonding' camping trips. When they return, they act strangely, disinterested in former friends and family, and sometimes have strange devices on their arms. Members can feel their pulses sync up when they touch, which is how they connect with Devotion. Because of this, Devotees are known to check their pulse at regular intervals, and even use checking their pulse as a salute.
The Devotees can also be thought of as akin to a multi-level marketing scheme, as they strive to increase their membership to lessen the drain of energy performed by Devotion on its followers. Their symbol is a shield emblazoned with cuffed-together hands holding each other. They often use Chariot model mechs, including the Mk. 1 and the Mk. 2.
