Boots Bonus was an intern at the Bluff City Zoo who worked primarily under Never Watson-Wiley, as he attempted to work on his spokesperson skills, however the Zoo rarely let him host press conferences.
While interning at the Zoo, he and Darren Cruiser convinced Dax Leopard to transfer one of his lionesses to the Trenton Zoo. After this caused the lion to become "bummed out", Boots helped to get the lioness back and to host a wedding ceremony for the lions.
Despite this, Never did not give him a very positive internship report (“lets other zoo employees get him caught up in absurd schemes rather than doing assigned work, needs heavy management, is not independent, is not a self-starter”), and he did not receive college credit from his internship there.
