Councilman Ail Esale Ort was a member of the Bluff City Council and the Bluff City Zoo board. He had recently taken on a managerial role as Councilman in Charge of Public Zoos, replacing Ms Sloane.
Ort fired Dax Leopard from job as small mammals keeper after too many of the animals were lost, though Dax was later rehired.
During the "A Zoo Is A Body" party at Zoo 2, Ort was killed and eaten by Ralph the snake after the balcony he was leaning on collapsed.
Trivia
- Ail Esale Ort's name comes from a door that Jack once saw that read Mail Resale Port. The door was open in such a way that the first letter of each word was obscured. Jack originally intended to use Ail Esale Ort as a character name in PARTIZAN, but decided not to when they learned about the character Agon Ortlights, because the surnames were too similar.[1]
