PALISADE is the eighth season of Friends at the Table and the fourth full season set in the Divine Universe. It is a direct sequel to PARTIZAN, following the events of that season by five years and beginning in the year 1429 PM.

PALISADE is preceded by the interstitial season Road to PALISADE, a series of games in different systems which establish changes in the state of the galaxy in the years after PARTIZAN's finale. Unlike previous installments in the Divine Cycle, both Road to PALISADE and PALISADE spoil and make explicit reference to the events of preceding seasons: COUNTER/Weight, Twilight Mirage, and PARTIZAN (including Road to PARTIZAN).

The season focuses on the planet of Palisade, where the Divine Principality's Bilateral Intercession attempts to invade the Twilight Mirage and a variety of rebels and revolutionaries attempt to stop them. Touchstones include Escaflowne and Elden Ring.[1]

In this season, the Friends play Armour Astir: Advent.
