Hitchcock's rules of dancing/dueling are a set of important principles that Hitchcock makes sure to impress upon his students, as repeated by Carolyn and Caroline Fair-Play. They may or may not be identical between brothers and between disciplines.

  1. Never trust a priest you don't know.
  2. Always carry a weapon.
  3. [exact wording unknown, has to do with running away]
  4. Have a lockpick.
  5. Never fail.
  • It is bad luck to celebrate before you succeed at something. [number unknown]
