Chrysanthemum Parish, once known as the Golden District or Gold Zone, is a district of central Marielda, historically the richest part of the city.

Thanks to Samothes' reconfiguration, this district which was once primarily on the eastern side of the island runs horizontally across the city from the eastern shore to the western wall. Chrysanthemum is home to many city landmarks, inlcuding the university, the main church, the courthouse, and the Hanging Gardens of Maelgwyn, which occupy the space which used to be a hole in the ground, which in turn used to be the mage tower. The parish is also home to the building that houses Hitchcock's schools and the headquarters of The Six.
The Golden Lance has assigned Lance Noble Chrysanthemum, a former tea witch, to enforce the rule of law in the district.
