August Righteousness is a Delegate, the chief chef of Joyous Guard, and the leader of a Delegate resistance movement in the area. As a Delegate, they are a 'shard' or 'aspect' of the Divine Righteousness. Like Righteousness as it appeared in COUNTER/Weight, they are strong-willed and committed to pursuing justice.
