Routine Rennari is Cas'alear Rizah's bodyguard and the Blue Channel's former heavy. He is half Apostolosian, a class traitor, and a former Kesh prince.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Routine is built like a brick wall, "like if a prince elf was Piccolo".[1] He is big, buff, and tough.[2]

Personality[edit | edit source]

Routine has a soldier vibe. Despite that, his taste in film "displays his princely attributes." When it's Cori's turn for movie night, he tries to pitch her some art house horror films, insisting that the violence is a metaphor. He likes the composition in the romantic period drama she ultimately picks.[3]

He smokes cigarettes and likes the rhythm of poetry, though he sometimes struggles to understand it.[2]

History and Involvement[edit | edit source]

At some point during the five years leading up to PALISADE, Routine becomes a member of the Blue Channel's crew under Captain Kalvin Brnine.

Following the Blue Channel's arrest of several spies on the Isle of the Broken Key, he is too absorbed in reciting a sonnet that he's trying to understand to notice Zedd Z. Izzard sneaking through the ship after escaping from custody.[2]

He volunteers to accompany Brnine and Phrygian on their dangerous stealth mission in "An Impossible Ideal".[4]

After Phrygian takes all of the Stellar Combustors in the galaxy offline, Brnine and Routine are kidnapped to a Pact vessel by STEREOMA.[5] Routine is left behind when Figure unexpectedly teleports Brnine back to the Blue Channel.[6]

Following Brnine's assassination of Dahlia, Routine becomes a bodyguard to Cas'alear Rizah, heir apparent to Dahlia's throne. He works with Cas'alear's other two bodyguards, Cor'rina Corrine and Misericorde, in this role.[7]

Relationships[edit | edit source]

He is presumably related to Rosarium Rennari, who also featured as an NPC squad member in an Armour Astir game.[8]
