Gala is a young woman from Yellowfield, who works in the factory there. She found the Blackwick Group in the local church, and asked them to find her mother, Galena, who had been missing for a week.
Gala is a very light-skinned Black woman with red hair, fancasted as Erin Kellyman.

Like all the inhabitants of Yellowfield, Gala is a spare body for High Vicar Regan Alaway. When Regan is destroyed by Es’ Exsanguinate attack, the vampire chooses next to become Gala, overwriting the independent consciousness previously seen.
Es and Chine pushed her into the factory's vat of candle wax, which was cooling as they had just unplugged the power source for the electric heater. Gala was frozen in there.
Alaway will return, presumably still as Gala once someone manages to melt her out, and harbors a vendetta against Marn and by extension all of Blackwick for this.
