Exeter Leap is a notorious Equiaxed pirate, a revolutionary of Millennium Break, and a former member of the Rapid Evening.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Leap is Equiaxed, and as such has integrated organic parts into his robot body. He has a camcorder head with a mouth; the mouth looks kind of like Crow T. Robot's from Mystery Science Theater 3000, but under a Geth eye.
He wears pastel and jewel-tone chino shorts and a mood ring color changing hoodie.
He has human hands,[1] upon which he wears many fancy rings.[2] His eye can light up to provide illumination.[3]
In the PALISADE era, he is dripping with gold like Tim Curry at the end of Muppet Treasure Island.[4]
Personality[edit | edit source]
Leap is bold and reckless. He takes risks in most facets of his life, from his job as a pirate to his desperate actions in battles. Often, he rubs up against authority. Not only is he the most loudly opposed to being Clementine's prisoner, but he also sees Callister Drive Callister as a sellout for becoming a noble. Around nobility, he's indifferent to social etiquette. A common pastime for Leap is trying to catch food in his mouth, or throwing it for others to catch.
Piracy is Leap's main priority and passion. While he cares about his friends, he is willing to risk their safety to advance his own goals.[2] He's more invested in Millennium Break as a way to continue his piracy career, not as a political movement. Besides this, he has no ambitions for the future.[5]
In Questlandia, Leap's role is Picaroon, his drive is Adventure and Wanderlust, his personality is Dramatic and Notorious, and his weakness is Cheat.[4]
Drive (Beam Saber)[edit | edit source]
- Break out of prison.[6]
Goal (Questlandia)[edit | edit source]
- Take every last cent of the Kesh fleet.[4]
Hooks (Armour Astir)[edit | edit source]
- If something might be useful, take it.[7]

- Trust myself #1, trust the Blue Channel #2, then trust no one.[7]
History and Involvement[edit | edit source]
This section is under construction. Please excuse the mess.
PARTIZAN[edit | edit source]
Leap was a space pirate bank robber from Stel Columnar. He was captured and imprisoned on Partizan.
He was created while the Equiaxed attempted to make robots that looked more like people, but initially his body was just a pair of robotic legs. He decided to balance it out by giving himself the rest of his body - a robotic torso with organs in it. He has about 80% of a human digestive system, including a tongue and stomach but not an anus, and burns food into fuel.
PALISADE[edit | edit source]
Spoiler warning! This section contains major spoilers for PALISADE 49: A Palette of Colors Pt. 4. Tread carefully! |
By late PALISADE, numerous books about Leap have been published, and he is one of the few people alive whose face is known by most people in the Principality.[8]
Using the power of the Divine Vigil, which Leap stole, Leap brings asylum-seekers Cas'alear Rizah, Misericorde, Cor'rina Corrine, and Routine Rennari to the Blue Channel. He also brings trunks and trunks of gold, which are carried by members of his crew.[4]
Relationships[edit | edit source]
Alise Breka[edit | edit source]
Alise Breka writes a novel about Leap during the course of PARTIZAN.[6] It is on her advice that he steals the Song of Partizan's rings.[2]
Callister Drive Callister[edit | edit source]
Leap knew and worked with Callister Drive Callister before he sold out for a noble title. Leap's relationship with him is shaken.[6]
Clementine Kesh[edit | edit source]
Leap is...not a fan of Clem, who, as the leader of the Rapid Evening, is Leap's de facto prison warden. He hates her, distrusts her, doesn't respect her, and wants her behind bars.
Eclectic Opposition[edit | edit source]
Eclectic Opposition admires Leap and was Leap's second-in-command for a while.[9] Leap cares a lot about him in return.
Levitation Cascabel-Gardner[edit | edit source]
Leap has faith in Levi and is impressed by his accomplishments. Levi admires Leap's charismatic leadership.[7]
Ver'million Blue[edit | edit source]
Millie and Leap first meet during their incarceration, as members of the Rapid Evening. They become good friends.
Relationship Mechanics[edit | edit source]
Beliefs (Beam Saber)[edit | edit source]
- Sovereign Immunity is playing in a bigger game than anyone else here.
- Clementine's job is to keep us around, and I don't think she can do her job.
- I bet there's something expensive around here, and I bet Million would help me steal it.
- Millie can draw attention, and drawing attention is useful.
- Millie will get me in trouble doing something reckless.
Gravity Clocks (Armour Astir)[edit | edit source]
- Levi is new but impressive; he will do good.[7]
- Thisbe is the Blue Channel's most reliable member, but is not used to working independently.[7]
- (Rival clock with the Witch in Crystal, wording unspecified)[8]
Questlandia[edit | edit source]
- Brnine: New name, strange bedfellows, but they deserve a chance.[4]
- The Witch in Glass: A demon from hell sent to break me who failed. [Exhausted][4]
Abilities[edit | edit source]
Beam Saber[edit | edit source]
- Daredevil: Leap can get a bonus to rolls for a desperate action in exchange for increased difficulty resisting consequences.
- Never Tell Me The Odds: If Leap is outnumbered or drastically over matched by a foe he has improved resistance.
- Shadow: Leap may spend his Spark to resist a consequence from detection or security measures, or to push himself for a feat of athletics or stealth.
Armour Astir[edit | edit source]
This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.
- Bardic Inspiration:
Mech[edit | edit source]
Leap's mech is the Heads Up, an ambulance mech he has turned into something more suitable for crimes.
