The Blue Channel is Broun's ship.
Appearance and Interior
The ship is almond or teardrop shaped, with added mech hangars forming a 'belly'. Its interior has a larger central "hangout" area with branching hallways leading to sleep quarters, the engine room and so on. The Blue Channel has no artificial gravity, so there are handles to navigate along the hallways, and most rooms are taller than they are wide. Pipes in the ceiling offer a guide between different areas.[1]
The Blue Channel has a rec room, described as having "lots of physical media" and "clutter without mess".[2] It is equipped with a TV, couch, and armchairs, a rhythm arcade game with switchable cassettes, a card table and chair, and snack drawers. The rec room is the site for movie nights, hangouts, and heart to hearts — "don't talk work!"[2]
History
PARTIZAN
Valence uses their connections to procure the ship for Broun after Millennium Break takes Cruciat. In "The Red Light", Broun finds a message from Valence inside, along with the coordinates of the Nobel home world. They fly the Blue Channel throughout the "Escape Velocity" and "Operation Shackled Sun" arcs.
PALISADE
Spoiler warning! This section contains major spoilers for PALISADE. Tread carefully! |
After the events of PARTIZAN, Brnine changes their name and remains on the run in the Blue Channel, which they upgrade using Kalmeria and Asepsis. They eventually become the captain of a small crew of guerillas operating on Palisade in support of the Cause. The crew has a reputation as a group of "weirdos who get shit done".
The Blue Channel is commanded by Gucci Garantine, who also votes for them in Cause command meetings. The Blue Channel cell of the cause also contains other guerilla cells who work directly under Gucci, and have not been seen yet.[3]
Crew
- Kalvin Brnine
- Phrygian
- Coriolis Sunset
- The Figure in Bismuth
- Thisbe
- Hunting Tomorrow
- Midnite Matinee

Mechanics
Beam Saber
In Beam Saber, the Blue Channel was not built out with quirks, but its health was represented by a three step clock in the "Escape Velocity" mission.
Armour Astir: Advent
In Armour Astir: Advent, the Blue Channel is Tier V. It has the carrier bonuses Cloaking Rituals, allowing it to hide from sight, and Marine Infantry, meaning the crew will fight tooth and nail to defend the ship.[4]
