Kueen Overture Rooke, or K.O., is the Scrivener's Guild contact assigned to SBBR.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Austin's facecast for her is the rapper and Louisiana Bounce musician Big Freedia.[1]

History and Involvement[edit | edit source]

PARTIZAN[edit | edit source]

A former ace pilot, lead mechanic, and battlefield commander, K.O. now uses her expertise to dispatch and guide mercenary units across Partizan.

She often advocates on behalf of SBBR to the Scrivener's Guild, despite SBBR's consistent inability to complete or turn in the appropriate paperwork.[2] She did not choose to work with the group, but was so delighted by her assignment that she began to thank the Divine Fortune in her nightly prayers. She likes and sees different aspects of herself in each of SBBR's members. Unfortunately, her affection for them makes things tricky for her after word of their activities in Orzen[Note 1] reaches the Scrivener's Guild, and she regrets that they did not trust her enough to loop her in.[3]

PALISADE[edit | edit source]

In PALISADE K.O. is briefly seen on Partizan, directing her son to safety during a dangerous surge of the Perennial Wave.[4]

Relationships[edit | edit source]

A.O. Rooke[edit | edit source]

A.O. Rooke is K.O.'s son.

Kal'mera Broun[edit | edit source]

K.O. sees in Broun her own thirst for profit and her past work as a tinkerer and mechanic.[3]

Thisbe[edit | edit source]

In Thisbe K.O. recognizes her own drive and determination as a soldier.[3]

Valence[edit | edit source]

In Valence she sees "a modern mirror: the care she felt for others, her ability to walk delicately between the lines to get things done."[3]
