The Divine Crusade is the leader of Stel Nideo's occupation of Palisade. Their Elect is Gentian.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

They are a giant humanoid Divine made of beautiful and horrible stained glass, using Independence tech. The reflections are possibly obscured by the color of the glass. They can use dozens of shards of glass as projectile weapons, with an effect similar to hundreds of Needler guns from Halo firing at once.[1]

Personality[edit | edit source]

Like their Stel, Crusade seeks to control the present through armed force, control of material resources, and the surveillance state.[2] Their senses are finely tuned and they are always aware of conditions on the ground. They can emit a kaiju-like roar.[1]

History & Involvement[edit | edit source]

Gentian is holding an outdoor reception at the foot of Crusade when the Lost Duchess, Constantina Malady arrives with gifts.[2]

Later, after Stel Nideo has lost the northeastern Bontive Valley to the Cause, Crusade leads a successful siege on Carhaix to take the city back.[1]

Relationships[edit | edit source]

Along with their Elect, Gentian, Crusade's retinue consists of their Swordbearers (Ramondre and Ignadiah), Knight of Books, and Knight of Cups, each of whom is granted a special item to carry. If anything happens to Gentian, one of the other four members of their retinue will become the next Elect of Crusade.[2]
