The Lost Duchess, Constantina Malady, is a pretender to the title of the Fabreal Duchy. She is scheduled to be coronated the day after the events "The Canvas of Dreams".
The Bilateral Intelligence Service agent Connadine stated that "A text found in a library in Carmathen will describe a long-forgotten duke returning on a black horse with white fetlocks". Just as he said, she turned up to the Elect Gentian's party with a train of Delegates, bringing an unknown gift in an ornate jewelled chest.[1]
She is made of glass, with the head pulled upwards a foot or two like a teardrop, as if wearing a very tall hat or as if her hair was styled like a wick and flame. She glows an orange color, and wears a simple long shawl or a robe. She is also later described as having Maleficent-style horns with pontil marks on them like hand-blown glass.[2]
