“The suburban sprawl of the city expands forever into the wetland country at its periphery. Some water remains--a pond here, a creek there--but more and more, all you see are houses all-the-same.”
The Thicket is the outer suburbs of Blough City. When seen in "Messy Business", it is under construction. When seen in "Extracurricular: Out Of Time", the Thicket is still wetlands, as though it is pre-consruction, and is described as being a little hilly, with brush and low-lying trees along the side of the highway.
