Eclectic Opposition is a Delegate and former mole turned pirate turned investigator.

Appearance

Eclectic looks like the robot designs from Binary Domain or I, Robot, but instead of having a blank white coloration, his plating color ranges from eggshell to toasted marshmellow. Keith mentions a particular teapot he owns as a visual reference.

Eclectic wears formal black pants, a white shirt and tie, a black sequined poncho instead of a jacket, and a flat cap.

Eclectic can very quickly disguise himself. In "Seize The Chance Pt. 1" he rapidly (as though transforming a princess transformation dress) puts on a nice curly wig, reverses his poncho to an sleek suit jacket-like "office poncho", and changes his hat into a cold weather hat with flaps.

Personality

He has a flat and eccentric demeanor, possibly because he is trying very hard to act cool, like a detective. He smokes and rolls the cigarettes himself.

Hooks

  • Leap says pirates steal. If something might be useful, take it.[1]
  • Leap says if a broken arm is all that stands between you and some evidence, arms are cheap.[1]
  • Leap says trust him #1, trust myself #2 and trust the Blue Channel #3, then trust no one.[1]

History and Involvement

Eclectic used to be a PMC mole and then spent some time as a member of Leap's crew. Leap, after piecing together documents acquired during his piracy, suspected a plan involving Motion was going down on Palisade and sent Eclectic to find out more. He is currently investigating the Motion factories.

Relationships

Exeter Leap

Having been in Leap's pirate crew, Eclectic is inspired by many of Leap's beliefs.

Abilities

  • Lurking Conspiracy: Eclectic has a 6-step Investigation clock. When it completes, he can subtract 3 steps from any Authority schemes he is aware of.
  • Private Eye: Eclectic has an extra hold during Downtime. He can use it to give other players useful information or advance his investigation at the price of complicating things for himself.
