A stratus, or strati, are individuals with the ability to connect to computer systems or even Divines, outside and above that which is normally permitted by the technology. They may also have an unusual degree of prescience or charisma. They can be compared to Newtypes in the Gundam franchise.
Strati are first introduced in COUNTER/Weight. While people like Jace Rethal are natural strati, the September Institute creates artificial strati using Divine-related technology.
In the Twilight Mirage, stratus status usually manifests in being able to create things in the virtual space of the Mirage.
In the Road to PARTIZAN, the Hypha are shown to be able to create strati using the Chorus Bond.
