The Cataphract is a Tier IV Altar piloted by Elle Evensong.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
The Cataphract visually resembles the Chariot Mk. 2, but has a helmet with a "retrofuturistic" fin that connects at the front and angles backward, like a disconnected centurion's crest or a speed line.[1] The mech has an almost-physical aura that pulses along with Devotion constantly. It wields a glowing, crimson claymore.
Abilities[edit | edit source]
Like its sister machine the Chariot Mk. 2, it was developed as a solution to the mechanical problems of the Chariot Mk. 1, which drained its pilots' blood to the point of death. Where the Chariot Mk. 2 has increased blood-draining efficiency, the Cataphract "draws on the blood of others to perform unimaginable feats".[2] Also unlike the Chariot Mk. 2, it can fly.
It can form a copy of itself from its aura using its Sanguine Self system.
