Wharvers, more offensively known as dwarves, are a people of Hieron who primarily live underground.
History[edit | edit source]
To many surface-dwellers, little is known about the wharvers, as they have only only rarely made brief appearances on Hieron's top stratum; most memorably, the skeletal painter of Eventide Island, who Hadrian slew within seconds of meeting him.
Samot's multi-national coalition in the war against Marielda included wharvers.
Though known to many as dwarves, they do not call themselves by this name, which Sunder Havelton advises Throndir not to use to their face.
Geographic distribution[edit | edit source]
The episode description of "The Killing of the King-God Samothes By The Traitor Prince Maelgwyn Pt. 2" suggests that the wharvers may primarily live underground.
There are wharver settlements called Wharfhurst and Kanton somewhere south of Rosemerrow. Many wharvers live in the large underground city known as The Buoy.
