The Devil's Two Front Teeth is the Figure in Bismuth's Altar. It was introduced in PALISADE and its approach is Profane.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
The Devil's Two Front Teeth is a tall, angular, "feral zombie-looking humanoid mech"[1] that has jagged chunks missing from various parts of its body, the result of heat and energy exploding from its frame the first time the Figure tried to pilot it. What appear to be two sharp, crooked fangs hang from one such hole in its chin area. Its posture is hunched as if ready to pounce.[2]
Its cockpit looks like the cockpit from Escaflowne but even more claustrophobic. There is no room for Figure to sit: instead they stand, almost "locked in like the Vitruvian Man", with a screen directly in front of their face.[3]
Combat[edit | edit source]
In combat, when the Devil's Two Front Teeth is activated, raw energy seeps from its frame through the holes in its body, making a "haunting, terrible, like wailing noise". It also has explosive chains that emerge from its shoulders and snake down its arms that can be used to grab enemy combatants in melee combat, at which point the chains are detonated to cause explosive damage.[4]
History[edit | edit source]
The Devil's Two Front Teeth was a "gift" to Figure from the Witch in Glass.
