The Glass Archive, also known by followers of the Dim Liturgy as the Thing Itself, is a scale model replica of the archives of Crystal Palace. It is a building within a building, located inside of the Dim Liturgy's primary monastery, and it is the Dim Liturgy's holy text.

Compared to Crystal Palace, it is tiny: hallways in the Glass Archive would have been massive avenues in the city-sized original. The text on its glass panes is in minuscule font, perhaps size 4 or even smaller. Many of the panes have cracks running through them or parts that are foggy and difficult to read; some are sun-damaged and some have faded over time.

The Glass Archive does have a glass index that functions similarly to a card catalogue, but also a much easier-to-read breakdown of the different divisions of the Archive.[1]
