It desires and desires and desires and wants to consume and eat everything. And it will never grow full, it will never grow sated.

The Ingrate is an Axiom created by the Witch in Glass from what was once the Devil's Two Front Teeth.

It is named the Ingrate because the Witch thinks the Figure is ungrateful for her supposed gifts.[1]

Appearance[edit | edit source]

The Ingrate is immense, twisted, and terrifying, covered in grotesque, hungry mouths:

Your machine, the Devil’s Two Front Teeth, already hunched and angular, bends and twists until it is a dangerous caricature of itself. It grows until it becomes as large as the Chimeric Cadent. It has this dark frame, and the dark ... parts of it grow even darker, stealing the light from the room. Its spare, already hard angles somehow bend and break reality. They turn inwards and outwards at the same time, it is hard to look at. The wailing, burning bursts of flame that you could see inside of it, the kind of core of it that used to appear from its many gashes and wounds, now appear from its many mouths. It has been covered in new grotesque maws, from which flames, tongues of flame, reach out in search of meals, meals that will never sate it. It can never be filled, no matter how much it consumes. It has the same fiery hooked chains that you had, but somehow are sharper, crueler. Those free-floating spikes that you used to be able to send out at people now orbit around it like a shield.

History and Involvement[edit | edit source]

The Ingrate is the first new Axiom to be created in thousands of years. In retaliation against the Figure for finding a way to free himself from her, the Witch in Glass uses the power of the Iconoclasts to transform his mech, the Devil's Two Front Teeth, into the Ingrate.

Unlike previous Axioms, which were created "as embodiments of particular ideals, supposedly detached from mortal perspective or subjectivity", the Ingrate represents a new class of Axioms (with a new naming scheme to match) that embody "one woman's ideals, given perfect, violent form."[2]
