The Grey Duke, also known as Dral Faraday, is an orc god of the Buoy, the Duke of Halted Expeditions and Unexpected Alliances. He is thin, grey skinned and balding with prominent yellowed tusks. His symbol is a fist with the orcish symbol for house on it, crossed with a sword.
He was from a lower strata where the orcs and halflings had joined forces; he amassed an army from nearby lamina, marching on the Buoy. His troops fought against the wharvers for decades, eventually reaching a respectful stalemate and becoming part of the Buoy's leadership.

With the emergence of the Rhizome, he leads an important faction and offers to make the Lost University a vassal state. He eventually allies with the Lost University due to the machinations of the Understanding.
