“
Like no one uses the system for the thing you build it for. [...] Whatever we make has to be like—you have to know it’s gonna be used for everything.”
Si’dra Balos is a former Apostolosian communications officer who left the military to work on the Strand Semaphore. They continue this work as a member of Millennium Break.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Si'dra is in their twenties. Their hair is in a curly red bob and they have purple-red scales.[1]
Personality[edit | edit source]
Si'dra is sunny, flexible, and pacifistic. After seeing the cost of the war between Apostolos and the Branched first hand, si dreams of a world where people can connect instead of fight.
History and Involvement[edit | edit source]
Si’dra was formerly part of a communications division of the Apostolosian Navy where si saw the cost of war first hand. Having defected to Columnar, they began to work for the messaging service Strand Semaphore. [2]
Si'dra is invited to join Millennium Break on Fort Icebreaker by Milli, who si previously thought was KIA. Si is quick to jump on board the project, and is a crucial part of adapting the Strand Semaphore for Millennium Break operations alongside both Ver'million Blue and Kal'mera Broun.

Si’dra is a part of Millennium Break’s mission to get off of the moon of Partizan. When they make it to the Portcullis Gate and discover the Pact’s plans for Operation Shackled Sun however, the group splits up, with Si’dra, Eiden Teak, Avar, Ryrira, and M'reb taking their equipment and setting up a Millenium Break base on Collier, and the rest of the group staying behind to try and save Partizan. Si’dra parts ways with Milli and Broun promising to find a way to send messages across the galaxy, and to be in touch soon. [3]
Relationships[edit | edit source]
Ver'million Blue[edit | edit source]
They were close with Millie during their service days, and were "the only person who had any sort of idea that Millie was planning something." However, si believes Millie was KIA until Millie contacts si in "On the Eve of Revolution" under the name Cinnabar Cyan to recruit si into Millennium Break.[4] Si’dra holds no grudge for Milli’s silence previous to this, and is very excited to hear from her. The two spend time together on Fort Icebreaker as the Strand Semaphore becomes more central to their operations, Milli traveling with Si’dra to put up towers across the moon. They part at the Portcullis Gate over Partizan when Si’dra leaves to set up a Millenium Break base elsewhere in the galaxy and Milli stays behind to attempt to stop Operation Shackled Sun; si promises to stay in touch.
Kal'mera Broun[edit | edit source]
Si’dra meets Broun on Fort Icebreaker when they work together on Millennium Break’s Strand Semaphore network, with Broun continuing to be friendly with si throughout their tenure on Fort Icebreaker. They part at the Portcullis Gate over Partizan, and si promises to stay in touch.
