Episode description[edit | edit source]
Deep in the scrapyards of Gift-3, a bubbling ocean of glass is battered by an massive, endless lightning storm. And beyond the sheets of rain, lies Barricade, the axiom that Notion members Signet, Echo, and Even must deal with on order of Kitcha Kanna, their dubious taskmaster and the Chief Expeditionary of Advent's technology division in the Mirage. They prepare their minds, ready their Anglers, and take flight... But when they pierce the storm, will they find a fight or something more?

Plot[edit | edit source]
Signet, Echo, and Even prepare to breach the Axiomatic storm caused by Barricade. The three of them fly the World Without End above the storm and prepare to do a low-orbit drop. They quickly realize that Barricade has taken over several ships and mechs that are crashed nearby, which Barricade uses to attack them. Even leads the group, all in Angler mechs, through the debris. Signet and Echo fight the mechs, using shields and a warhammer respectively, and they ultimately break through the wall.
The Notion arrives at a large seaside village filled with music. The Axiomatic scanner indicates that Barricade is still somewhere in this village, but they find Polyphony playing music with villagers. One of the villagers, Lumen Lux, greets them. They explain that they're from Seiche, but they crashed their ship and Polyphony saved them.
Lumen takes the Notion to a hotel and helps them settle down. The Notion begins to notice that very few people in the village seem to be individuals; most of them are extensions of Polyphony. Together with Lumen, they go to meet Elia Tet, a Rogue Wave admiral.
