Ballad Reverie is a militia leader, martial artist, and the older brother of Echo Reverie. Following the Miracle of the Mirage, Ballad became a key officer of the Volunteers of Seiche, an anti-New Earth Hegemony militia on Gift-3. Following deals brokered by members of the Notion, the Volunteers (and, in turn, Ballad) joined with Advent Discovery and Salvage Society, The Concretetown Particulars, and others to form the Advent Group.
Ballad quickly rose up the ranks of Advent but decided to defect after having a sword fight with, and almost being killed by, their sibling, Echo, over who would rescue Grand Magnificent. He joined the Qui Err Coalition and brought the Volunteers of Seiche with him.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Ballad is in his mid-to-late twenties, is six feet tall and is in good shape. He differs from Echo by having a more intense look, beard stubble and long dark blue hair.
When first see, he wore a green M65 army jacket, khaki pants, and a white dress shirt with two swords on his back. Around his left arm was an armband with the acronym VoS written on it, which stands for Volunteers of Seiche. Echo gave him their old jacket in the episode No Value in a Closed Door.
Following the creation of the Advent Group, Ballad transitioned to the new 'all white everything' Advent uniform.
