The Brink is a diner in The Shore, it is led by Gray Gloaming and her fiancée, Demani Dusk.
History

he Brink began its life as a spy satellite of the Rapid Evening's The Rapid Evening - Mirage Division meant to monitor The Divine Fleet and the planet of Quire. It was occupied by Grey Gloaming, and was equipped with a fail-safe Stellar combustor meant to destroy the system in the event of a major threat to the rest of the galaxy. When that threat did occur the combustor was scuttled by the agents and they worked with the Divine Fleet prevent disaster.
After the Miracle of the Mirage, Grey Gloaming and her partner Demani Dusk turned the Brink into a space truck stop/diner where Grand Magnificent was later seen, and employed Morning's Observation as a dishwasher.
With Dusk and Gloaming running the diner, the Brink as a faction maintained an investment in the well being of the galaxy around them, warning Grand Magnificent, Tender Sky, and Fourteen Fifteen of upcoming threat posed by Dark Day and the Crystal Palace.
PALISADE
In the time of Palisade The Brink has grown significantly with ships simply attaching themselves permanently to the outside of the hull. It is one of the few places in the Mirage that can make contact with the outside, as it is located near the edge of the Mirage.
