Mechnoir is a game by Jeremy Keller. It is a hack of his cyberpunk game Technoir, adding mechs to the mix. Mechnoir is played in COUNTER/Weight during the Chime's first missions, until episode 10, where the Friends switch to The Sprawl. It returns in the COUNTER/Weight prequel special depicting the Chime's first mission.

The game uses an adjective system where players and GM modify the adjectives of enemies, allies, mechs and PCs to affect rolls and the state of play.

You play protagonists like cyber-tweaked couriers, hard-nosed investigators, and drugged-out hackers making opportunities for themselves in a despairing world. Using a rules-light system with enough intricacies to spark new fires of hardboiled crime novels and cyberpunk science fiction, Technoir lets you coax, hack, fight, prowl, and shoot your way through a dark future.
