Service is a Divine deployed in the Golden Branch. It has been on several planets, including September (when it was Service II), Coral, and Slate, generally focusing on mining and industry.
Personality[edit | edit source]
Service is a harsh taskmaster, which Austin calls "Rigour part two." It has no interest in human culture. No candidate is named, but Austin states that it would be piloted by a middle manager-type.
History and Involvement[edit | edit source]
It oversaw mining operations on Service II until it was forced off in a workers' rebellion. During the Golden War, Service was stationed on Coral. After this, during the events of COUNTER/Weight, it was on Slate helping the Diasporatic Department of Material Resources try to take Vox.
In Stars Without Number, Service was first represented as the "Venture Capital" asset and then, when that was lost, as a "Shipping Combine" asset.
