Rupert is an evil, angry bird.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
He is a rare Andean Cock of the Rock and Motmot crossbreed, with red-orange feathers and sharp talons (“mostly claws and a beak”). He is also massive, around the size of a large eagle.
In "When Justice Is Done", he sports a tone-on-tone striped neckscarf, and in "Extracurricular: Out of Time", he has a leash with a long chain attached to a jeweled collar.
His only known weakness is that he cannot swim.
History and Involvement[edit | edit source]
Rupert was given his name by Doyle MacKaye. He was owned by the Veranda family's patriarch, but he escapes during the events of "A Bowling Alley, A Boxer, and A Bird". Since that time, Rupert has caused destruction and chaos across Bluff City.
In "When Justice Is Done", he helps Grouse by attacking Sonny Veranda. Later, during an appearance in Blough City, he expresses regret to Grouse over being unable to assist her in a fight, suggesting he either feels some affection towards Grouse or really wanted to engage in violence.
Rupert has yet to be recaptured, and it is unknown if such a thing is even possible.
