Lumen Lux is a member of the Volunteers of Seiche. They were briefly a resident of Polyphony before returning to service in the Volunteers, then a part of the Advent Group.
History
In the Divine Fleet
Before the Tides of Harmony split and landed on two separate worlds, Lumen had plans of becoming a baker on the ship. However, after that event, and the events of the Week Long War, they joined the Volunteers of Seiche due to their anger at the New Earth Hegemony.[1]
Polyphony
Lumen was sent to monitor the storm on Gift-3, after the Volunteers of Seiche heard rumours about possible axomatic forces - "really cool things" - hiding within it. While surveying the area, they crashed into a tower built by the Axiom Barricade, which then prevented them from crashing into the Q-Glass below, and brought them to Polyphony.[2]
While in Polyphony, they seemed at peace, despite having "deserted" their post. They spent their time playing guitar (once performing Wonderwall for the visiting Notion), and had no desire to leave Polyphony.
Return to the Volunteers
Sometime after the relocation of Polyphony from Gift-3 to Altar, they rejoined the Volunteers of Seiche. It is unknown why this occurred, as they seemed happy in Polyphony, and it had been suggested that they might become the Excerpt of Barricade, after the later had been converted into a Divine by the Method of Apotheosis. However, this process did not progress quickly, and it might be that this led them to leave..
As part of their service after their return, they were present on Brighton, as part of the crew of the Prince Elect, flagship of Ballad Reverie.[3] They were killed when Even Gardner goaded the creeping chain into firing on the ship, through Profit's Star.[4]
