Anglers are 8-10 foot tall mechs, originally installed on the Goldenrod class fishing vessels, and since repurposed by the Notion for their personal use. They are blocky, but slightly less bulky than an astronaut suit. Mechanically, they have the same stats as their parent ship, the World Without End.
After their formation and assignment of the vessel the World Without End, the Notion were each assigned one of the already present Angler units, which they then proceeded to customise.
Customised Mechs of the Notion[edit | edit source]
Character | Name | Modifications |
---|---|---|
Fourteen Fifteen | Watermark | Dark, british racing green, Fourteen's mech carries a large container of murky water, which Fourteen can float in in order to regain their memories. The Watermark is always the captain's Angler on Goldenrod class ships.[1] |
Echo Reverie | Overture | The Overture looks like it was a monster from Monster Hunter that was killed and then turned into armor. It has glass panelling around the user that allows them to be viewed, and an antler head. Mechanically, it is specced for improved combat abilities. It also has a giant hammer as a weapon.[2] |
Grand Magnificent | nMEbuUnx[3] | Grand did not greatly alter his mech, instead working on improving the stock components. As a result, it has a +1 quality compared to the others'. It is grey.[4] |
⸢Signet⸣ | Exuvia | Belgard donated a plate for Signet's mech. These lie close to the body of the mech, but have the ability to float free in order to block attacks. It has a gold and black color scheme, looking like a 'disturbed tigerwing chrysalis'. Drossel from Fireball Charming was an influence in Janine's design. The Exuvia (the cybertome, not the mech) is able to interface with the mech, in order to facilitate communication with Belgard. |
Gig Kep-hart | Criss[5] | Rust colored, varying from white to cream to orange. In order to move, Gig's Angler changes shape and skitters, though not in a creepy way, in a fast stop motion way.[6] |
Tender Sky | Clearcut | Tender's mech is fitted with the Reframe system, which she stole from Advent. This augments her stratii abilities to affect the Mirage. |
Even Gardner | Gorgon | Even's mech has digitigrade legs, and modular, bulkier armor plating. It resembles his old armor suit. His wings can fit inside.
The GORGON (Gamma Override Returning Grip Over Neural-Network) System causes all of the armor plating to detach, exposing the wiring. When the head deploys, Even's hair spreads out to cover the body of the mech. Gives -1 hold, but +3 consumable armor which can be used to push yourself, and additionally makes all movements speed related. |
