The Consolidated Counterweight Technocracy is a group on Counterweight trying to protect locals amid the maneuverings of greater powers from OriCon, the Diaspora and Apostolos. Part of their duties are to manage public infrastructure in areas controlled by multiple nations, and many of their employees function as aldermen.[1] Some of the few straight-up good guys. Orth Godlove is one of them.
Their offices are visually similar to the offices in the movies and .[2]
In "A Ship of Seeds" EarthHome tries to go after the CCT for the Angels of Counterweight videos which showed Aria's mech, but they don't get anywhere with Orth, who points out that these were unauthorized broadcasts. In "This Month of Ours", the CCT moves surveyors onto Weight in the hopes of expanding their influence there.
The fallout of the Gnosis mission leaves Cass in hot water with the CCT, making them need to lay low for a while.
The organization collapses during "The Broken Branch"; it is technically still extant, but has lost all political weight.
