Coral is a planet in the Perseus arm of the Golden Branch star sector. It was once an Apostolosian planet, then a Diasporan colony, before the Diaspora were pushed out. Service was stationed on Coral during the Golden War, and its heavy mining devastated the environment and citizenry, which led to the rebellion of the primarily Apostolosian inhabitants. In the aftermath, it's compared to "Bajor after the Cardassians leave".[1]

Ibex is introduced when he begins spreading Automaticorps influence on Coral in "This Month of Ours"; by the finale Coral is one of the bastions of the Vanguard.
