She later became the excerpt of the Divine Compulsion, changing her name to And a spark kindled carpet into flame, turning solemn sanctuary into crisis, Blooming bright, deliberately still also known as ⸢Blooming⸣.[1]
Appearance
⸢Blooming⸣ is birdlike in appearance, with an avian frame, a beak nose and large brown eyes. Her hair, while not pulled back into a ponytail, still defies gravity by going up and back "anime style". When piloting, she wears a zero-G suit similar to the one ⸢Signet⸣ wears inside Belgard.[2] When acting as a general, her suit can change form to have a "[fabric] train-pauldron" situation at the shoulders.[3]
History and Involvement
She is fifty-three, and became an excerpt in her twenties.[2] She is stretched thin, being one of the last excerpts for the last 30 years, which have been harsh. Many excerpts have been killed and she was put into a position of leadership because of that; it was not what she wanted.

At the beginning of Twilight Mirage, during the death of Gumption and ⸢Covenant⸣ in "The Last Divine", Empyrean also died of despair, leaving the Fleet with no living Divines. Blooming managed to extend the echo of Empyrean's shade for a few months longer, giving the people of the Fleet the impression that "everything is okay".[4] Plagued by self doubt and lack of faith, she sacrificed the remaining energy of Empyrean to fight Volition and entrusted the spiritual care of the Fleet to ⸢Signet⸣.[2]

After the Miracle, she was disillusioned with the Divine Free States and the Cadent Under Mirage. She was assigned to cleanup on Privign Station, where she encountered the Waking Cadent, and quickly pledged herself to her service, finally finding "a home and a purpose" as leader of the Beloved Nights.[5] When the Waking Cadent converted Compel into the Divine Compulsion, she was made its excerpt and renamed.[6][2]
