Skein is one of the eight planets formed from the living world of Quire during the Miracle of the Mirage. This planet has been settled by the New Earth Hegemony, and now contains the most populous city in the system, Terncage[1]. Floating allocologies house research businesses and other ventures.
The planet is covered in rainforests, and there is a large gash that runs down one hemisphere, The Wound. It is here that The Notion fought Ache, and Quire performed the Second Miracle.[2]
