Sage is a planet in the Perseus arm section of the Golden Branch. Its population numbers in the hundreds of thousands. The planet is a "Feral Planet" mechanically, meaning it has a large population of dangerous animals. Many of its inhabitants live in the wilds outside major settlements.

History

It was once called Apote by the Apostolosian Empire. It was colonized by the Autonomous Diaspora at some point, then spent decades out of contact. Ten years before the Golden War, there were talks to bring the planet back into the fold, but they fell through.[1]

The Divine Patience is mentioned to have been stationed here during the Golden War.[2]

Its population is mostly resentful of the abandonment of the Diaspora, with many feeling as though "God betrayed [them]", but the younger generations are more optimistic. The Hands of Grace establish a base on the planet in "This Month of Ours", planning to bring them back into the Diaspora. After the attempted assassination of Vicuna by councilmember Kira Voight, the attitude of the Diaspora towards the residents of Sage is worsened.[1]
