This article is about the fictional assassin and bounty hunter. For the real life double bassist, pianist, composer and bandleader who lived from 1922 to 1979, see Charles Mingus Jr.

Charles Mingus, also called Charley, is an assassin and bounty hunter under the employ of Castlerose and one of a cadre of jazz-themed assassins who were sent to collect Grand Magnificent for the Marquis of Transport and Fashion.

His mech, Solo Dancer, is bright red with big, bulbous arms and legs. Its design emphasizes tight lines forming geometric shapes, sort of like late 90s Reeboks. This type of mech would normally be used to play a sort of high school sport on Gumption's Gambit. The mech disappeared from the fleet two years ago.[1]
