The Veranda Family are a family and crime syndicate who operate out of Bluff City. They own and operate a few casinos within Bluff City, including The Gilded Menagerie.
Many of their casinos were built with slave or unpaid labour, which eventually called the Selkie to take over part of the Menagerie.
They also hold a yearly art auction, held close to midnight. It is deliberately intended to “feel weird”, with attendees wearing masks and fancy clothes.
In the version of the future shown in Engines on the Track, the Veranda Family have moved into the lower levels of Atlantic City in an attempt to use the street racing culture there to aid in their various crimes.
