Addax was the Candidate of Peace prior to the end of the Golden War. They were members of the Kingdom sent to destroy an Apostolosian superweapon. However, the manipulation of Righteousness worsened Addax's suspicion of Apostolos and Peace's turn towards Order. While Jace Rethal wanted to keep the weapon out of the hands of those who would misuse it, Addax tried to take it from him, and it was activated above Counterweight, devastating the planet and creating Weight. In the aftermath, Order and the weapon were left stationed halfway inside the abandoned dome. Addax went on to become a Rapid Evening agent. However, he maintained some contact with the Iron Choir living around his former Divine.[4]

Most people remember Addax as one of two tragic heroes who died on Counterweight while stopping a superweapon. This story is quickly shown to be an incomplete one, as he narrates the intro of "This Month Of Ours" as a Rapid Evening agent and a Lilac Duke of Kesh.

Addax is revealed to be one of those directing the Counterweight's Angels propaganda videos, as he describes himself as an "Archangel of Counterweight" in his journal.[5]
