Sargent Janis Stone (Dione Gabro) was partners with Detective Max Lam but was promoted above him, although the two are still on good terms. After the events of "The Eighty Six", Janis was made Chief of the BCPD.
Although she is willing to bend the law to get justice, she was unwilling to follow Grimes’ lead. She is unwilling to put up with bullshit and knows how to get under people’s skin, using both these skills to great effect during the events of ‘The Eighty Six’. She excelled at her job, but believed that under Chief Grimes she would never have been promoted higher than Sargent, due to Grimes’ corruption.
She is described as wearing clothes similar to the detectives in ‘The Wire’ (jeans, crop top, black leather jacket).
Abilities[edit | edit source]
Janis's playbook is Musclehead.
- Crime Doesn’t Pay: When rolling in opposition to criminals, +1 to rolls.
- “The greatest feeling you can get in a gym is the pump”: Add +1 to Muscles (max +3).
- A Machine Made Of Meat: Getting hit only makes you angry. When you are hit in a ranged or close combat, whether harm is inflicted of not, you can make this move. Roll +Muscle. On a 10+, hold 2. On a 7-9, hold 1. Spend one of your holds to:
- Immediately inflict 1 harm as a counterattack against whoever attacked you.
- Inflict an extra +1 harm on your next attack.
- Close the gap between yourself and your enemy.
- Perform a feat testing the limits of human strength.
- Gain +1 Muscle for the rest of the scene.
Possessions[edit | edit source]
- 9mm pistol (2 harm, close, loud)
- Nightstick (2 harm, hand)
