September, formerly Service II, is a planet in the Golden Branch star sector.

September used to be an Apostolosian planet, but was taken over by the Diaspora and the Divine Service and named Service II. Its workers ousted Service and renamed the planet September, even as a mixture of outside interests began establishing a presence there.

September has a mixture of forested land and ocean, with polar ice caps to the north and south. Its landmasses have an autumnal color palette, with many sandstone quarries. The planet's climate feels like it's in autumn all the time. It is often raining, and the liquid in the rain is thicker and heavier than normal water.

It has tens of thousands of inhabitants. The few major cities, including Mode City (where the September Institute is housed), are made out of sandstone and repurposed from the original Apostolosian buildings. Thus there is a mix of (neo)classical design and Diasporan architecture. Austin describes September as xenophobic toward Apostolosians and other supposed outsiders.
