Among Sharks is a book of creative non-fiction by Alise Breka. It tells the story of the rival pilots Misericorde and Cor'rina Corrine and is dramatized in "Last Shooting".[1]

Banner and Thread is an academic book written by Falconry's Apple. It was assigned as additional reading for a course at Luna 7 University about the Divine Fleet.[3]

"Counter-Example Guided Model For Non-Interventionist Regulation of the Meta-Divine" by Rose et al.[edit | edit source]

"Counter-Example Guided Model For Non-Interventionist Regulation of the Meta-Divine" is a scholarly article focused on public policy in the Golden Branch. Its first author is Dr. Renna Rose. Published in the journal Foundations and Findings in Post-Divine Technologies, the article contains the first proposal for "a model of regulation that allows for control of meta-Divine technologies within the Principality without the need for direct use of armed-state power." The model in question is a hypothetical device that could be used to increase the Rapid Evening's surveillance capabilities and prevent criminal offenses within the Principality of Kesh's jurisdiction before they even occur.

This hypothetical device, initially imagined as a mere thought experiment by Rose and their co-authors, would would eventually be realized as Crystal Palace.

Dr. Jace Rethal peer reviews the article for Foundations and Findings. He strongly opposes its publication and publishes a scathing critique of it in the same issue.[4]

Foundations and Findings in Post-Divine Technologies[edit | edit source]

Foundations and Findings in Post-Divine Technologies is a quarterly academic journal in the Golden Branch that is active during and after the events of COUNTER/Weight. Dr. Jace Rethal is an occasional peer-reviewer for the journal. While Foundations and Findings primarily publishes "quantitative studies of contemporary technologies" and "engineer-led explanations of the few remaining dark corners" in the field of post-Divine technologies, it is also the publisher of the policy-focused theoretical article "Counter-Example Guided Model for Non-Interventionist Regulation of the Meta-Divine".

Like many scholarly journals in the real world, a lot of the articles it publishes have clunky titles that would be inaccessible or off-putting to anyone not already familiar with the field.[4]

The Millennium Break Manifesto is a document outlining nine ideals of the revolution. It was written on Fort Icebreaker in the early days of Millennium Break.

"Notes on the Five Approaches" is a piece of writing by Eiden Teak that breaks down the five "approaches" to using Kalmeria.[9]

The Old Treaties[edit | edit source]

The Old Treaties are a collection of ancient legal documents that recognized Divines and Elects as assets of the state and stipulated that any Divines or Elects wounded in intra-Principality conflict must be safely recovered and returned to their home Stel. Implicit in the treaties is the belief, understood and shared by all Stels at the time of signing, that the Principality as a whole will outlive any given internal conflict.[10]

A Righteous Man: The Life and Death of Attar Rose is a biography of Attar Rose, AKA Ibex, by Orth Godlove. Since Orth was unable to fulfill his promise to "make sure they call [him] Attar Rose" on a gravestone, he wrote the book to make sure that Attar would be remembered by his birth name.[15]

"Every Day Everybody Dies on Earth" by Aria Joie is a re-release of a song Aria first recorded under contract with EarthHome Entertainment originally titled "People Die Every Day for Earth". Because she lost the rights to the original song, she has to keep re-uploading it with new names on space Spotify, like "Everybody Dies on Earth", "Everybody Everywhere Dies on Earth", "Everyone on Earth is Always Dying All the Time", and so on.[21]

Perfect Imperfect is a history podcast hosted by Layer Luxurious at some point in the future from the events of PALISADE. Its focus is the Perfect Millennium.[13]
