Chatelaine Pellier is the young heiress to the Pellier family fortune.

Chatelaine has dark hair and bird-like features. Her temperment is alert. She is facecast as Alison Brie in Doctor Thorne.

Chatelaine is the great, great granddaughter of the founder of the Copper Poppy, a metalworking generational business that was the source of the Pellier’s wealth. It has since become focused on prestige and decorative items now that the family is long established as nobility. Their wealth is instead tied up in investments and land ownership.
Having taken on the Pellier’s social responsibility in Nievelmarch, Chatelaine spends much of her time hosting events in the family’s estate. Her desire during the holiday season is to arrange a marriage between two acquaintances of her choosing.

Chatelaine’s reputation begins as generous, but overbearing. During the events of Good Society, she becomes the golden child of the Pelliers due to her successful Procession Day event. However members of society come to consider her poor marriage material, suited only to casual acquaintanceship.
Relationships[edit | edit source]
Henrietta Sameday is known to the public as Chatelaine’s friend, but the two are secretly old flames. Though it has been years since their romance, the spark never truly died.
Mint Charlise is best of friends with Chatelaine, who has taken her under her wing since Mint’s return to Nievelmarch.
Frances Pellier is Chatelaine’s twin sister, younger by a few minutes. She is more concerned with the family’s financial affairs than society events, much to Chatelaine’s chagrine.
